Apart from Machinery's Handbook, I consider these books to be a must have. They are absolutely terrific. Can't put 'em down... -^

Machine Shop Essentials: Questions and Answers
Machine Shop KNow-How: The Tips and Techniques of Master Machinists.

While there's stuff in these books that could benefit even the most experienced professional machinist, these books are written, it seems, for the HSM. They are not elementary by any means though. Trust me, you'll love 'em.

I bought my set here: http://metalartspress.com/ whicjh appears to be the author's website.

Hello,

Good books those, but I also recommend The Metrology Handbook, Jay L bucher Editor, it will tell you about measurements, techniques and confidence levels in the techniques that are used in the HSM, well worth the read.

Machinist Trade Secrets, James Harvey
Millrights & Mechanics Guide, Thomas Beiber
and of Course
Machinery's Handbook, Industrial Press

Best Wishes

Chuck
