yes this is a hobby not really to make money wanting to get into gunsmithing when i retire from wrenching on cars. I should say i want to start machining my own gun barrels and building parts for my guns that would be more accurate. I have already found myself saying hey why buy that i can make it lol.

Clear the space for the 2nd lathe you are about to buy. If you a barrel chucked up in one, you have to have an open lathe for contingency, like emergency project.
