It’s a whopper. ;)8BE3FC16-ECFC-4BF0-95C0-94D2F47536CA.jpeg

it’s a mitutoyo digimatic indicator, 100mm / 4” travel. 543-617, model IDS-10100E.

i purchased it because a) I wanted a longer travel indicator, b) it looked cool and c) it was a steal. I thought it had 50mm travel, but the eBay listing was very light on the actual details. Its all cast aluminium, weighs a fair bit and looks as if it hasn’t ever been used. The finger lift and the original, mitutoyo branded silver oxide button cell where still in the factory packaging. o_O

its fairly obvious how it’s operated, but it didn’t come with the usual instruction leaflets. Does anyone know where I could get one, just for completeness? If tried Mitutoyo’s websites (JP, US, EU & UK) with no luck, as it’s not a current product.

Cool score! They never end up being the size you expect from the picture do they. LOL!

Getting close. Looks like it's from 1997 or so.
How about Russia? Parts list at least...
They also had entire catalogs from 2012-2014.
