I've had a ten year hiatus from heavy duty machine shop work while (re)building a car. Not that there was no machine shop work, its just that it was more on the fabricating side. Here is the "finished" car, a 1967 Sunbeam Alpine.

And getting there.

Cleaning up the chassis. Initially, I was going to take it dwon to bare steel. But after a high pressure wash, it looked so good I just painted it.

The Pinto proved to have issues, so I decided to upate the engine by about 3 decades. So I installed a 2.3 Ranger Duratec.
Modifying the starter housing to clear the steering arm.

Hey! Nice 'pine. we share likes on color choice. I have a 1966 Tiger (owned since 1967) that I had painted with House of Kolors Shimmerin' Sunset Orange pearl. Almost the same color as your Alpine. I also have a 1966 Alpine S V that is my Bonneville Salt Flats race car. I now own the world's fastest Sunbeam, period. Flying mile at nearly 205 mph and top speed of near 211 mph. Glad to see the turbo on your project, makes driving way more fun, lol... I plan on posting some particulars for the race car as soon as the moderator tells me where he wants them. You do nice work!
