Good morning. I have a Logan 820 Lathe that has some bad gears in the quick change gear box. The replacement gears from Logan are way beyond my budget. I have found gears that will work but need some modifications. The thickness needs to be reduced and the bore enlarged for the bushings. There are two 16/32tooth gears and a 40 tooth gear. Haven’t received the 40t yet. I’m near Asheville NC.
Any help or advice would really be appreciated.
Thanks!

You should be able to use your lathe to bore and face the gears. The hand cranks should still work.

If not, I'm sure someone local can help out.

I was tempted to try it myself but am not sure I have the skill. Also I only have a 3 jaw chuck and am concerned about accuracy of it for boring.
Thanks

If you cant find anyone local you can ship them down to me.

That would be great! Should I PM you for info!
Thanks
