I am looking for a (reasonably priced) involute gear cutter. It needs to be a number 6 - 14.5 pressure angle and 16 diametical pitch. I have the 2 thru 5 cutters and the number 6 would be the only other one I should ever need. (I need to make a 20 tooth gear) 7/8 mandrel is preferred but any size will work.

Thanks
Earl

Beware of involute gear cutters made in China. I recently attempted to save a few bucks by purchasing two of them new from a supplier. They do not hold a cutting edge and the cutting circumference is not concentric with the bore hole - causing an uneven, "galloping" cutting action. I would be interested in knowing if any members have found a good, reasonably priced source for quality involute gear cutters. If so, please send me a PM. Thank you!!
