I was asked to post some pictures of my "new" shop gear. I previously had a Mattsson & Zetterlund mill, but saw this Schaublin 13 in 2012. I knew there were no way back being satisfied with what I had. However, it was not for sale, but I have been bugging the guy since then and finally he gave in. Moved to my shop now!

Torn apart for tune up and cleaning, but looks in rather good shape. Changing to new drive belts, hoses and some rubber parts. Also re-greasing all the bearings according to service instructions.

Equipped with a Sony LH-51 3-axis DRO of which I have no pictures at the moment.

It has 4 different heads

High speed drill head:

Slotting head (looks almost brand new):

MT4 head with room for P-type collets in the rear end. I have a bunch of them as well.

Some P20 collets:

Also, sets of W20 collets, ER32 collets, ER40 collets and smaller collets for the high speed drill head. All Schaublin as far as I can see.

Also a lot of arbors and chucks. Full set of horizontal arbors as per the Schaublin 13 1970's catalogue. They seems to be brand new.

Also the horisontal support with 2 different bushings. The black ring is listed in the Schaublin catalogue as some kind of quick fitting for the MT reduction chucks. I am not fully sure how it is supposed to be used but it is fitted with two bolts and the ring can then be twisted on and off.

A bunch of additional chucks and arbors and a swiss boring head.

Here is the small dividing head with corresponding tail stock. Also, it is mounted on a Schaublin 102-like bed so you can use the tools both on the mill and on the lathe.

Also, there is a support arm so that you can take the lid off the dividing head and "hang" the head and tail stock for particulary awkward milling jobs where the bed, the head and tools are tilted in all degrees of freedom.

A bigger dividing head was provided originally made for the Schaublin 53, but fits the machine. This one can also be mounted directly on the breast of the machine (if the table is removed) for machining larger parts.

Some trainee seems to have milled a slot in the rotary table. Other than that, it seems to be in good shape.

A Schaublin 53 vice. A little big, but will do until I found an original 13 vice.

That was the milling machine. Now over to the Lathe which I have had for a couple of years already. Actually it is exactly this machine that is listed at http://www.lathes.co.uk. I paid too much for it, but it is in decent shape for it's age (1963). It is the last year of production before they launched the Schaublin 125.

Comes with all the screw cutting gears (24 gears I believe) in a wooden box.

Wow, thank you for sharing. Please post pictures of projects undertaken, once everything is up and running. Regards, David

I bet that babies as smooth as silk. No wonder you had to have them.
