Ah I see. Might not help you any but mine measures 33-1/2" wide. My foot brake itself is 33-3/8" wide. The rods on mine are separate pieces held in with roll pins.
Seems like this model has been made in different factories over the years as mine has small variances different than any other I have see. Or the factory just decided to make changes. Yours is the first one I have seen with all the different colors & markings on the headstock.
Things like this happen but not to worry as the folks at QMT/PM have a well known reputation of making things right.
