When we bought the car in ‘19 the floor shifter was a Hurst ProShift. This is a ratchet style once one is in drive. Painful to use on a street machine. Removed and sold that over the winter. Replaced with a Lokar unit. May swap the handle for a taller one though. Looks more appropriate for the vintage of car.

Awesome color! I'll bet that car turns heads. Straight 8? or V8?

Yes it does turn heads as many vintage cars are black.
Originally left plant in Windsor Ontario with a straight 6 w/3 speed. A previous owner some 20 years ago did a restomod and used a 318 from a ‘86 D150 mated to 904 auto and rear end from a Fifth Ave. Frontend is from a ‘88 Ford Aerostar. From the frame up still 85 years old, all steel. We purchased it as we are not interested in having a 10 year, 75-100K restoration and not using the car during that time. We are not getting younger!

Very nice, Pierre. I've done a few street rods and have put Lokar shifters in all of them. Their selection is great, and I've had no problems with any of them.

Beautiful work on that Chrysler.

Terry
