New To Me Blacksmiths' Anvil

As one would imagine, the Harbor Freight anvils are pieces of ****. Soft. No sharp corners and a horn that looks like Jimmy Durantes nose rather than a proper Basil Rathbone. The blacksmith class I attended had a number of them that one would use only if forced by circumstance. The instructors anvil was a work of art in beautiful condition of course. All of us vied for the opportunity to use it. It really was worth it.

A couple of months ago, I was rooting through my parents barn looking for something and came across a box market "anvil". Sure enough, it also had the words Harbor Freight on it. Ughh. :rolleyes:
