Newbie gifted a Sebastian

Sebastians are well made machines and your's appears complete at first glance.
Notice the wide width of the front saddle bearing area.
I see a thread dial and the left-hand gear cover which is all good.
What is the swing and length between centers?
Does the motor run?
Oil her up and figure out of anything's broken or missing.

That looks pretty straightforwad to lift from the base - either some forks under the bench or a pallet jack on the skids (nail a couple extra 2x4s down there). Could probably even hire some safe movers to do it - much cheaper than riggers, and still easy on your back.

Looks like you could pretty easily drag that up a trailer ramp with little fuss.
A come-a-long or winch would help.
Reverse the process to unload.

If you can lift it off the base without damaging anything that'll work.
A buddy and I moved a similar size lathe by backing a truck up to it, unbolting the base and lifting/sliding the machine off the legs and onto the bed.
It'll probably want to tip side to side so be aware of that possibility.
Best bet is to remove the motor as well.

I think I would winch it with something attached to the wood skids.
I'm assuming the plywood on top is attached and holding the skids.
Look the wood over and see if it is strong enough to do that and if there is any question add 2x4 between the skids to strengthen it.
Take as much weight off of it as possible. Like mentioned take motor off. I'd slide the tailstock off and remove the chuck if possible also.

This would only work if skidding it on to a low trailer, witch is how I would do it.
Lathes are very top heavy. I'd pull the headstock end up the ramp first to avoid it trying to stand on end if pulled the opposite way.

This is what forklifts are for.
