Every couple of years the industrial salvage yard where I buy my stock (Moses Glick, outside of Reading PA) has an inventory reduction auction. At the last auction I found this DeWalt 13" planer, I'm too embarrassed to say how much I got it for, but the new knives cost more than the planer. It was pretty dusty and the knives were shot, but everything else is tip top. Studewalt.jpg

Cool, those are decent small machines. I bought one for work because a) it was one of the quietest planers on the market at the time; and b) because the dust collection system was said to actually work. And it does!

Have fun with it, I think you'll be happy.

Nice! I own one and have run thousands of board feet through it. Good machine for a bench top unit.

That's a 'Machinist' find - "wood machinist", but machinist non-the-less...
