well i finaly started a project old 22 lr well worn . made a few screws purchased a barrel from green mountain chambers it cut a extraction slot in it. went to the range in 6 shots the head space opened up about 40 thousand failed to fire any more. started to wander why and it old and worn i welded the back of the breech block filed and polished it down till it was snug. went back to the range put 100 plus rounds through it worked like should have a lot of work left

well i have chambered a 17 mach 2 for the old favorite and also seemed to shoot well at 25 yards [attachimg=1]

been working on it when i have time stock is done and the scope bases are installed . shaped up a forend and have a hole drilled and taped for it

tryed some rust blueing today has been a learning exp iv got the rusting part down[attachimg=1]

Very nicely done Norm. I love those old classic rimfires. That is a piece of history and craftsmanship that we will likely never seen again.
Glad to see it is in good hands. :)
