My project list is growing...

I've been working with my old O/A torch some lately... it is mounted on a somewhat flimsy homemade cart that I acquired with the torch.

Several years ago, I was given another homemade torch cart that is built sturdier, but have never used it... I've decided to put it to use.

This cart, in my opinion is pretty neat... especially the homemade wheels, made from 14" steel rings and rebar...

There are no bearings in the wheels... I'll have to see how well it rolls under the weight of the bottles.

There is a problem with the cart... the 'floor' is bent... the oxygen bottle will not stand up on it. It wants to fall forward and rest against the retaining chain... not good...

Someone had previously attempted to strengthen and reinforce the front edge of the floor...

...yes, that is brake shoes welded underneath to reinforce the front edge of the floor.

My plan is to remove the floor and fabricate a new one out of something a little stronger. Maybe an angle iron frame with a 3/4" plywood platform mounted in it...?
