is it a boiler? It's old early 1900's made of heavy cast iron. It's not real big about 150lbs or so, about 24" tall an 20" around it looks like a big ball on a pedestal. It uses coal. It says "125 W.P.MAX", is that working pressure or water pressure? Worth chancing $50. on it?

without a picture it's hard to say for sure. If it is cast iron, it could be a heating boiler, though those usually ran under 15 lbs steam.

Probably wouldn't make a good boiler for a small steam engine then ... but I will still try to get a pic, I'll be getting back to see it at the end of the month.
