I have the bits and bobbles to upgrade my RPC from 'pull rope' to push-button start. I need a new enclosure. Is there any reason I can't or shouldn't use a sealed enclosure like a Pelican case?

This is exactly like what I have. Any reason not to use it? My only concern is heat. Is that something I should worry about with a simple start capacitor, coiled relay and wire blocks?

Plastic electrical boxes are pretty common. You do want to mount everything on a metal back plate that is mounted on standoffs to the case.

I wasn't as worried about the material as I was the fact it is pretty much sealed. I guess more concerned about air movement

I wouldn't worry too much about heat, there is not much in a RPC that would get hot.
