I bought a used mill/drill and it has what I think is a replacement 15 amp plug on it with a 12 awg cord.
I have included a picture of the stats found on the 2hp motor.

Is this satisfactory or should I use a 20 amp plug? This will be on a 20 amp breaker with 12/2 mc cable.

Thanks

As Henry Kaiser said, "The profit lies in the overload".

the plug pictured is a 220v plug

if you are running the mill/drill on 220v, a 15 amp 220v plug is sufficient.

if you plan on running the mill/drill on 115v,
you will need to upgrade the plug to a 20 amp 115v plug and you will also need to run it on a 20 amp 115v circuit

the mill/drill motor will perform flawlessly
the motor will draw somewhere less than 8 amps @220v
you'll be fine with a 15 or a 20 amp 220v plug configuration.
the 12/2 is also great, you won't come anywhere near pulling too many amps through it.

have fun millin' and drillin' :)
