PM1340GT oiling issue question

I have several of the oil ports on the carriage that will not accept oil. Even when the ball is depressed and oil is squirted into the opening. Is this an issue with the ball oiler or with the oil porting in the casting? Has anyone seen them plugged from the factory?

Hi Dan,
I only have some difficulty with the rear carriage oiler, and I am assuming it is just a tight interface between the ways and the carriage. I did add some felt pads between the wipers and the carriage which I also soak with way oil.

I've not seen any pluged, but I did have a couple that I had a hard time getting oil into. Until I put a 'X' pattern into the nozzle of my oil can so the ball didn't block oil from coming out of the can. Seems to work OK now.

I'll try adding felt wipers. I think I saw a write up somewhere on that.

I used a probe to push the ball down, I could see a gap for the oil to flow into. This worked with some but several others the oil would not flow into that same gap. It acts like it's plugged somewhere below the ball.
