I used the Eastwood gun for the first 3yrs and it got the job done and I learned a lot. I feel like it's a better setup then the HF. But something started going on with the power supply brick and it started wasting too much powder as it didn't stick and more was ending up on the bottom of the little spray booth than sticking to the parts. I made sure my parts were clean and I had good ground but it was wasting more than when it was new. For a hobby gun I'd recommend it definitely. Eastwood's powder is not bad either, but I've since switched to more pro store and surprisingly the powder isn't anymore expensive and my finish is better and set time quicker. 99% of what I do is semi gloss black. Just like everything else there are differences in the different makers powders. I just go for nice finish and durability.
