Power Hacksaw Identity

Hey All,

Need a hand. Not sure if this is the correct forum for this (If not, please let me know and I will repost it). Just picked up this old power hacksaw, and was hoping someone could help me out with a manufacturer and possibly model number, so I can go over to Vintage Machinery for some operational information on the saw. Never used one before, and I would like to be sure what fluids are required. Seems like it has a sealed gear box, and several oiler locations. Obviously not the original motor. No manufacturer on the cross-bar, and it looks like the information (manufacturer, model number, serial number) plate has been removed. Any help, information, or questions would be appreciated.

That is the strangest motor attachment I have ever seen.

Looks factory too so that should greatly narrow the field.

Agreed. Have not seen anything like it in my web research. Just need one of this two or three guys who have seen it before, drop me a line. Not a doctor, so no patience. I'll hear when I hear. Thanks a lot for the response.

Looks kinda like my Dayton with a funky direct drive mirror swap. I bet it hustles with direct drive.

Seems to manually rotate properly. Blade raise on the return stroke. I'll try the oil suggestions I received. First I need to figure out a wiring arrangement, but that shouldn't be to hard. Was hoping for a manual to fine tune any needed adjustments, but it does not look like that will happen. Should be able to figure things out.

One item that I am unsure of is the blade arm lock. Might be worn out, or I might be engaging it incorrectly. I've added a photo for reference. Any insight would be great. There is a knob missing from the threaded post in the photos. One photo shows the catting arm fully raised, and one with it completely down (completed cut).
