My brother works in the power industry and he sent me this link.

Auction

Preview takes place on June 25, actual auction on June 29

Judging by the list there's some big machines but also some smaller stuff. I'm really curious about this one though...

"Rockwell delta milking machine - model 15-120 - SN: 1583222"

There's some beautiful old iron there. I'd sure like to have that shaper. Unfortunately I'd bet most of those big machines will be on a slow boat to China in the near future.

Everything I saw was in 400 volt range.

These two requirements will leave most of us out. How would one go about finding a rigger, and get an estimate before the auction ends?

Please be aware that all items are located on the 2nd floor of a large warehouse. Most of the larger items will not fit on the freight elevator and will need a professional rigging company to remove.

All buyers must have proof of insurance to remove equipment.

I noticed the thing about the 2nd floor, but I didn't notice the one about insurance.

I've worked at several power plants over the past 7 years and I can tell you most likely these machines are in fabulous condition. They are only run sparingly as they are only needed to modify or make a part, which is not often.
The utility I work for though will not sell machines, just scrap them.
