I purchased a bunch of long drill bits at a flea market. they are all precision USA made bits. they came from Boeing airline shop. I knew off the bat that I can use them in any of the drill chucks I have but there is obviously a correct tool holder for these bits. a sort of adapter that grabs the small ring of holes on the rear section. I'm sure someone on this forum knows exactly what it is and where to get it

Thanks in advance

They likely fit a Magic Chuck; you lift the ring around the chuck body, the balls retract, you pull the tool out and insert another tool, all while the machine is running.

thanks everyone. they are still kinda quick change as all will fit in the same collet in my mill or tailstock

I have a whole bunch of those. They were formerly used at Boeing, but are still sharp. The barrels are all the same size and work well in a standard chuck.
