Today a co worker showed me this tool he acquired at an estate sale. No clue what it is called or what it’s exact purpose is. Anyone here familiar with this measuring instrument?

small hole bore gage , but you need gage blocks to set it .

My Diatest kits came with a setting ring for each gauge size.
