Hi all,
I designed and made a little device with a small touch of steam technology as a gift for one of my grandchildren. It is based on the so called "put-put" principle mostly used in toy boats. But here it creates a continuous and pulsating water fountain in a vertical glass tube as long as a flame of a tea light is heating a small steam pot. It consists of some basic elements like a small fruit jar with lid and some easy to make brass parts but for what I had to do rather much experiments to find the final and optimal dimensions.

I also made a 4-sheet drawing plan for this toy that is available for everyone interested via my web site:

Friendly greetings from Holland,

That is really slick, thank you for posting that....:))

We had putt-putt boats when we were kids. Very cool, Jan.

I remember those boats. That is a cool project Jan.
