Ok folks got a question and could use some help. On my dremel type rotary tool I have the need to do some sanding that is deeper than the 1/8 sanding drum will go. I also want to turn them faster than the 1/8 shaft will allow when you extend it out. Does someone make a thicker and longer sanding drum mandrel that will allow me to go deeper and faster?

I used a lot of these type of sanding cones when I was porting cylinder heads.

I got them from a local industrial hardware supply in Phoenix but you could always order them. Without knowing more about your application that's the best I can offer.

Thanks John. I hoping for something like a 3/16 shaft as long as they make that a sanding drum will fit on. Something that will get. Down into blind holes, rifle magazine wells etc etc

I never had any trouble with those flexing but I do recall having some that worked with my die grinder, 1/4 shaft. It's the speed and abrasive that does the work, not pressing hard....
