Question on Threading Inserts

Zoro sells Carmex (Iscar) full profile inserts for lay down holders. MSC also sells them, but more expensive. Shar's sells them in the 8-20 UN in 3/8" lay down inserts, I would also check Carbide Depot, a few others. I have used the Carmex inserts, they lat a long time, I am sure most mainstream brands will hold up well.

I get mine from MSC now that Enco is gone. But I have a local MSC, I just walk in & buy one when needed which is not often. I use Carmex for both inserts & the tools
