Questions about band saw blades...

This project was inspired by my Michigan friend, AGCB97.

It works great!!
The first pic is the piece I removed to install the pneumatic chip path clearance device :)
Looks like a good idea to keep the blade clean. Can you share more details? Do you have parts/construction pictures?

How much air does it take?
Does the air make the chips fly all over?

Nice gizmo fellas.
You have got me wanting to trick out my saw before I even get it running.

I added a gizmo to my saw yesterday.
The old coolant pump was gone. So I asked some questions on the tractor board about adding a small electric pump to it.
They know Everything there.
I wanted the pump to turn on/off with the main switch. Because it is 220 3 ph they said I needed to use a small transformer. I found one locally and bought a plastic enclosure box at Home Depot to house it and attached it underneath the saw.
A bit of wire, a couple of connectors, a scrap of 12 gage metal and a single outlet and Voila!
It works. Cost me about $65 and half a day yesterday.
I will use the water pump off one of my tile saws for now. If it goes kaput I will buy a Little Giant pump which is more robust.
