Got any ideas for mods to a PM 727 V mill? Added power lift for my Z axis with a 12 volt trailer jack motor - works great no more hand cranking - any more task option ideas would be good to hear about. Thanks - Wayne

Wayne,

Where did you source the jack motor, and do you have any specs on it like RPM or torque rating?

David, I got the gearmotor on Ebay from RV Parts and Gear, Ph# 910-9-679-6522. 12 volts dc, 30 amp, motor rpm 5500, gearbox output 190 rpm, 150 inch pounds torque, Venture Motor #M9000PK. Made in USA - Works Great! Hopes this helps. I installed it by removing the hand crank and used a Lovejoy 15mm to a 1/2" coupling adapter. $82.98 w/free shipping

David any tailer sales bussiness will have that info. Also RV centers has them. The one on my enclosed trailer is just a tad faster than my PM-932-PDF head motor. It would need to be moded to use on a mill.
