I bought a used craftsmen bandsaw model. 108-22921. it had no tire on the drive wheel so I replaced it now the band doesn’t want to stay on . Also when I was removing the top half of the saw I must have wiggled the wrong way and broke off two teeth on the nylon gear but I repaired that by cleaning the gear and putting in two part epoxy then after a couple of minutes I pressed that gear into the other to copy the pattern IT WORKED...but the band still wants to run off the wheels. Any ideas?

Welcome to the forum. There are a lot of really friendly, knowledgeable people on here. No matter how simple you think your question may be don't be afraid to ask for help. You will get answers.

Not enough tension may be the problem. Another possible cause could be the guide rollers not adjusted properly. Here is a link for the owners manual for a 108-22920. http://vintagemachinery.org/pubs/222/18407.pdf It might be similar to your saw. Here is a link to a list of other manuals for craftsman band saws. http://vintagemachinery.org/mfgindex/detail.aspx?id=222&tab=3

I had similar problems on my craftsman band saw model 101-22922. Once I got the tension correct and the guide rollers adjusted properly the blade stays on and the saw makes a straight cut.

Thank you very much for your reply. I will try adjusting the rollers perhaps tomorrow. The link to the Manual is really appreciated it’s great. Thanks again....steve.

Have a similar saw that would throw the blade if any cutting oil was used. If your fix on the bevel gear fails someone has been printing new gears.I can't kind the link right now ,but an internet search should find it.

Hi. Do you mean on a 3D printer? If so is it ready to use or is it something you can use to make a copy from?
