I recently acquired my first lathem, a 113-B built in 1941. It was in "working" condition when I bought it, but a previous owner had it so gunked up with grease, instead of oil, that I decided I was going to take it apart, clean everything the best I can, give it a fresh paint job, and put it back together. I've never done this before, but I did get the refurb kit for the lathe from the eBays. I'm sure I will make some mistake, hopefully none of them irreversible. It's not my intention to do a bolt by bolt restoration, but to do what I can with what I have. Some parts I may not be able to disassemble due to my limited inventory of shop tools (notably, I only have a small 2 ton arbor press and no hydraulic press).

I also decided to try and document this in some short videos I am posting on the YouToobs. Here are links to the first couple if you care to see my shenanigans. Constructive comments are always welcome.
