Removing Gap from Colchester 2000

I was thinking I have a friend who is a great machinist and machine repairman who is down under too. Maybe your close? I like your welding.
I know it's a big country, but you might get lucky. Tell him I said hello Mate :)

I also know some fellows in Sidney- I spent a week in Surfers Paradise years ago.....beautiful place, beautiful women and tasty beer !

Just a progress report.

1. I have needed to put the gap back in twice to do processes using the 3 jaw chuck. It goes in quite nicely, with a lot of heartache. So good to open up the option of using the extra swing.

2. I have made a centre spigot to locate the piece centrally. This is now nearing completion. Here is how I secured the spigot into the centre bore to stop it turning.

3. I have machined the spigot to be a very neat fit into the bore on the casting.

So, next step is to secure the casting to the face plate.
