Gents,
Looking for a replacement cross feed gib for craftsman 101 12" lathe.
Also like to find a chip cover at some point.
Do folks make these in the absence of replacement pieces?
Any sourcing help appreciated...

Have you checked with Clausing? They carry most of the old Craftsman/Atlas parts and are very helpful.

Is the gib broke? If not you may be able to add backing to it if it is to small.

sears parts direct, they still list part numbers for some of their lathes. Tim

ebay does have some parts available, a check there may be fruitful for you.

You can purchase the chip cover, I have see video's where people have purchased them from suppliers for around $10.00 plus shipping. I however bent one up from some scrap sheet metal that works just fine. Used by vice to bend the material. The gib you can probably find on E-bay.

Looks to me to be a bargin, if that will fix your machine.
