RF-30 Belt Sizes?

What size belts are people running on their RF-30? Mine came with a B34 on the motor to idler, and B42 from idler to spindle. The motor to idler belt seems excessively loose, and the spindle is easily stalled. The motor is fully swung out. Manuals I've found seem to call for a B41, but I'm worried that a 1" belt length reduction won't correct the problem.

What belt lengths have others had success with? I would like to use cogged V-belts, so link belts aren't the answer at the moment.

That would be greatly appreciated David, I'm hoping to drop by the auto parts store and pick up some belts so that I can finish a project tomorrow.

I didn't get a chance to check before I left for work but if memory serves me I have B40 and B32.
A bit of googling turned up some comments that B42 and B34 were too long/big.

A huge thank you! I went to my local NAPA and got a Gates BX32 and BX40, they fit perfectly and leave plenty of room for adjustment. I would definitely recommend this combo for anyone else who runs into this problem.

they guys, thanks for posting this info. i changed speeds on my RF-30 last weekend and hadn't realized how bad the belts were, especially the back belt off the motor. i appreciate the info, so i can have backups on hand
