Up for auction is a rockwell model 25-0x6 lathe and a 2 logans 1875 lathes. Not sure on which would be the better choice. If both are in similar condition and similar amount of tooling, which would you recommend. I also will need to do standard and metric threading. I have read that the logan can do metric with certain gear changes. How about the rockwell?,

so far Ive found only one negative about the rockwell. And its big. NO PARTS. i guss Ill go after one of the logans

Rockwells are good machines, but Logans are as good, more common, and you can get parts for them.
Logan all the way.

I disagree I can find most all the parts I need... For 10", 11' and 14 inch Rockwells.

I have a Rockwell 11" new parts are generally non-existant but used parts pop up now and then.

It is a good lathe.
