I just purchased a Rong Fu RF-31L made in Taiwan and manufactured in December of 1999. The ID plate on the front of the mill says it is a model RF-31L. I can find lots of information on the RF-30 and 31 but I have yet to find any reference or information on the RF-31L. It was sold by Jayhawk Bowling Supply and Equipment for their line of bowling ball drilling jigs and equipment. It is in pretty good shape. The jig is mounted on an aluminum plate that covers the entire table. I am the first one to remove the jig and the table is in pristine condition. It also has a 3" column riser block to help with clearance for the Jacobs chuck and drill bits.

Any information on what the L signifies would be appreciated.

Could it be for *long*?
I see a couple inch riser block under the column for greater Z room.
Just a guess.

I just measured the table. It is 32-1/4" X 9-1/2". The manuals I have found for the RF-31 show table size as 28-3/4" X 8-1/4". My RF-31L specs line up exactly with the Grizzly G1006.

Don't get too smug about how yours is longer than the other guys'. Just means you have to reach a little further to the handwheels.

They just put it on a lower table, so they do not have to lift the work piece as high. ;)
