Ruger P 90

Ruger discontinued magazine latch spring, mine is broken, and I am not able to figure out where or how to get one. Do I have a paper weight?

P 90 is a Ruger .45 SS model. Is all I know for now, I've had it since the early 90s. I'll check the link, thank you.

Call Ruger and see if they have one part KQ 02700 it's called a magazine latch spring

Every source says discontinued, the gun is in the shop now, and he is unable to find one also.

Measure the diameter of the wire and order some music wire of that diameter. It'll probably take a little experimenting to figure out the proper mandrel diameter, but bending that spring shouldn't be hard (I'd bend the small hook first with a pair of pliers, then use a dowel pin to hold it in place next to the mandrel that you twist the larger diameter around. When you get the shape and size right, temper it at 450* for ~15 minutes in your shop toaster oven and you're good to go.

Sheesh, what's up with the "kwality" of the P90 magazine latch spring ?? One of mine broke in 2013 ..... then another one in 2018 ...... And just last week: a third one broke !! here's some historical reading on the topic with people's problems with the spring ...

You have a P90D, that spring is different between the P90 and P90D...........
