Scarborough, Maine auction August 5th, a lot of nice vintage machinery

If anybody winds up going to this let me know. I see a few collets I need but they don't ship.

Two SB lathes at least and a SB milling machine. What a haul.

I went to the viewing and looked everything over . The logistics were way over than i wanted to deal with. Limited access with small driveway and only one day to pick up your stuff. My feelings are tomorrow will be a zoo. Pretty fair prices on all the big stuff and some smaller stuff. I went as high as $30. on those collets. about 10 were serviceable. They went for $95. Way to much in my opinion. Picked up a few things and was satisfied.

I've noticed that a lot around here as well. It's not unusual for the heavy stuff to go at a steal because few buyers are prepared to cart it off then and there.
I think the Gorton collets probably had a lot to do with the price of that lot. I could see at least 2 Gorton shanks and they're hard to come by.
