Separating series 1, 2J2 head into 2 sections

this is why they put so much bondo on these. they must be using grinding stones on angle grinders at the foundry, or some 10 grit sanding discs.

I never would have got this back up that little slope and back into the shop without that Masdam strap puller.

pretty good. these have a different kind of valve on the bottom of the tank than the asian copies. it limits the amount of media that goes into the hose. that is the biggest difference.
 
Do you glazing putty to fill the scratches? Use it after major filling with Bondo. A plastic squeegee saves a lot of sanding.

I said that in post 107. but I didn't know the bondo was oil saturated until I sanded the paint off. why would I blast off all the body filler and have to redo it if I didn't know it was full of oil?
