Sheldon. Model R. 13-5 motorsize ?

Imtrying to fine a static converter for my above lathe thats three phase. Will a FM50-203-C work ? The web site says its good for 3 HP and i think its not a variable speed.
Can anyone give me some solid advice ?

This may be a little late on the information for you, I have a R-15 and it has a 5 horsepower motor. No it is not a variable speed. I would not attempt to use a static converter for your machine. It sounds about right that you may have a 3 horsepower motor. I have had rpc's in the past and they worked quite well. As of late I have 3 phase in my shop. If you give me more specific concerns I may be able to help with more accurate information for your needs.
