From time to time, the opportunity arises to donate something to a member in need for the cost of shipping. Rather than have the recipient send a check or credit to a Pay Pal account, I have found it more expedient to have the recipient register with USPS "Click and Ship" and generate the shipping label. They can then e-mail the label to me and I can attach it to the shipment. This is particularly easy with the flat rate boxes but will work with other types of mail. The recipient creates the label with himself as the sender and the recipient but enters my zip code in the "send from a different zip code" field. For shipments where package weight is required, I would furnish the recipient with that information. There are no additional costs with using this service and I don't have to run to my bank with a check to deposit.

I used to do that for FedEx, but a lot of times the shipper could not print it for some reason. YMMV
