I made the seat from 2" thick poplar and the rest is made of oak.

I had some wheels on it but it was too high as my feet wouldn't touch the floor to scoot it around.
Very sturdy and sits well.

Thanks for looking

Looks good....and if i may make a suggestion, maybe think about adding at least 1 additional cross brace on the legs front to back to help stability especially if you will be using it to "scoot" around the shop.

Nice job on the shop stool, good choice of materials.

Thanks all

I used the materials I had on hand at the time.

So I have to ask, what method did you use to shape the seat? Scorps and inshaves or modern rotary tools? I can detect no variance to the fairness from here so I'm guessing rotary, but then again....?

Either way, it's a wonderful job!
