Silly Grinder Question

Another simple question but you don't know what you don't know, and I definitely don't know.

I picked up a little die/hand grinder made by Dumore.

There is some play on the extension (armature? don't know what it's called). Here is the extent of the play

I didn't pay much for it, it runs and turns up smoothly. no weird noises or anything, I just want to know if that amount of play is normal for this type of tool or if it's a problem. Thanks for your time
 
A dumore is an excellent tool. They are not designed for end thrust,( except for drilling). A fibre washer could be a fix for a particular situation, but if you have no run out in the tool for its normal application, (lateral loads) then stick with it

Phil, there is no runout, laterally it works very well. I'll check for a fiber washer just in case. Thank you gentlemen
