Simple welding or soldering needed

That's awesome! I built pre 68 buses and bugs for years...Had some damn fast ones (2135cc) never F.I. though. Looks like those need to be spaced JUST RIGHT..no wiggle room, how do you say we get that dead on?

Its 33 mm. I can send the manifold with injectors. The injectors wiggle a little so absolute precision wont be mandatory.

I take it you do milling machine work also ? I will need some manifold work also but I don't have those new style injectors yet.
I should have them in a week. When I say manifold work I mean like weld a plate on then bore a couple holes in it. Dead simple.

Looks like fun! Welding, say 6061 is one thing, cast aluminum is another. I've been welding about 12 years...machining not very long. If by machining you been perfect holes made in something...no problem, if you mean real machinist work, I'm not that guy now...maybe in a decade.

Good news ...... It's billet 6061

By machining I only mean straight holes. A stepped (countersink" hole. Only one step. Easy as pie.

I use to have a machine shop in the back yard but I downsized a year ago. It's really simple, I just don't have the equipment anymore.

First job is the pipes. After I have that back in hand I will figure out the next step which is weld a plate on top the manifold and drill the counter step holes.

What is the plane the engine is in. Could we see some more pictures of your plane? Looks like you have a lot of time invested in it.

It's called a Sonex. They have a website.

Sorry, thought I put my email address in here

Are we breaking any rules here? It seems your post right before mine is gone too? They’ll be no money exchanged for this so I’m not sure why those posts are gone. My apologies if I broke some policy. (?)
Maybe they done want hobbyists working on other hobbyists planes! :p
