I am trying out 2 new site format changes in the default style.

1- New threads will have a "New" tag next to them

2- Threads you have participated in will be colored in very light blue

Sounds good. Especially will help identify the new threads.

Just in case you are looking for a feedback:),

I like the #2 upgrade ,it is easier to see which thread I participated in even though the small tag with my avatar is still visible but now I don't need to look for it.
As for #1 , I understand the concept of "new" tags for new threads but now that tag is in front of (just about) every forum on the main discussion section. to be honest Nelson I'm not sure how helpful that tag is in this case.

Ken,

I see your point. I have a lot of them too. I don't read as much of the forum as I should.

It is easily removable if people don't like it. Maybe I can make the tag less conspicuous, like an "*" next to new threads.
That is doable with some changes to the coding.

Not sure of the usefulness of #1, but #2 sounds like a good idea

BTW, are there still some server issues to be resolved? Some pages seem to take quite a while to load, other times very snappy

With the "What's New" first on the left of the header, we can open just those threads. I don't feel a need for a tag, too.

Let's see if the small "N" makes it a little less annoying.

actually I was getting used to the orange NEW. How about a compromise? As it is now with the "N", but make it orange. Would that work for everyone?

Thank you I like that. Stands out and I don't find it too obtrusive. Hope others don't mind.

If you guys don't like it, it is very easy to remove it.

I am just always trying to improve things on here.
If I go too far, just let me know.
