Slot Milled into New Aloris Tool Holder

I guess I am the odd person out here. There is no way I would have gone to the trouble to contact the seller, re-package and drop off for shipping the part just because it had a small slot that did not effect it's use. My feeling is Life is too short to spend on non-necessary tasks like this. :)
 
Yikes someone at Aloris trying to fix a boo boo and avoid being signed up for involuntary payroll deduction LOL.
I see both sides of this. Let’s face it for the premium paid for the little Aloris logo engraved (stamped?) the holders should be mint. In reality the rattiest nub of a hunk of metal that holds a tool tightly and engages the dovetail will do the job.
If it was a one-off extra holder I’d grumble and probably eat it.
A whole set, ya it’s going back unless a discount was offered.

I am sure glad that I am not the wholesaler, and being in a position to move these blems.

They offered, but I like to start with new, unblemished tools, at which point I may well scratch them in service.
