new to me I have got a heavy 10 (1941) but see this latter model 10 advertised and bought it in a bit of a sorry state so stripped down and rebuilding
I am missing the chip guard / connecting bar on the taper turning attachment which fit onto the cross slide I am having trouble getting one so was wondering if anyone could give me the measurement so I can fabricate a new one
need the overall length measurement from cross slide to slot and length of slot
I would be very thankful

Looks like a part you could make yourself, assuming that you have a mill.

Hi again some one as said your one might be right on the length but wider so if you could give me the sizes
and I can see if it works out
Many thanks

I think most of the dimensions are non critical except for the bolt holes to connect it to the cross slide. Please pardon the crudeness of the drawing.

I made a rectangular one from aluminum to give me a place to attach a DRO scale. If I'd thought to make it longer, the scale would not have interfered with the tailstock.
