Hi Everyone, I recently picked up a 2003 Standard Modern 1334 lathe with a taper attachment that is a permanent attachment on the rear of the cross feed table. I am trying to take it apart and remove it for cleaning & maintenance and some painting . It is amazing how it works together yet independently with the front hand wheel. A genius designed it but how do I remove it? Has anyone had any experience with removing one. I have gotten to a point where I am a bit nervous and don't want to break anything! Thanks, Joe

If you could post a few photos someone might recognize the design even if they don't have the same brand of lathe. Most cross slides that I have seen come off with only a bolt or two.
