Hi guys,
i was messing around in the shop last week.
i made a couple videos of me playing with stepper motor drivers and pulse generators.
i took a small bipolar stepper motor and controlled this motor with 2 different stepper drivers.
i did the experiments to make comparisons between the 2 drivers on the same small stepper motor.

i used the TB6600 4.0amp stepper driver for the first video.
i used a transformer and a bridge rectifier to power the operation

here is the diagram:

in the second video, i do a real time wire up of a M335 3.0amp stepper driver.
i used a 12v 5 amp (60 watt) regulated power supply to provide the power

and here is the diagram fro the M335 with the same pulse generator

here is the video of the small stepper running on the M335 and pulse generator

thanks for looking!!!

Do you have a specific goal in mind or are you just seeing if you can hang the stuff together and make it work as it should?

you can make your own pulse generator from a 555 timer , a 47k ohm resistor, a 1uf capacitor, a 100k ohm resistor, and a 250k ohm potentiometer
like this!!!

You can build an astable multi-vibrator with an op amp or a couple of transistors, a couple of caps and a few resistors.
It's all bog-standard stuff, widely and well documented too ;-)

yes sir,
i'm building up to a couple of projects that will include these systems
