I have several old relics (heirlooms) one of which is a stevens 77b 16 gauge…while this thing ain’t worth much of nothing to anybody in the world besides myself I wouldn’t take the world for it…the receiver (piece that holds the slide and all mechanisms) became wore many years ago on the lip the slide rides on…for many years I’ve looked for a replacement but have never found one…now I’m in the mindset of making one…has anyone (yea I know stupid to ask…) done such a task?

I have not done the work you are asking about, but Numrich gun parts may be a place to help out.

Yea I’ve looked many times on numrich but alas no such luck…I did find the pieces I needed for a iver Johnson model x on eBay a week or so ago…had just about given up on that one but persistence paid off…I need the receiver for the stevens and a trigger assembly for a snake charmer to get them all fixed up
