A household repair project (to be posted later) needed a straight knurl. The knurl is to provide grip inside a rubber hose, so the coarser the better. I have a pair of straight knurl rollers, but I figured I stood a better chance with a single roller. I tried mounting it on the standard QCTP bump knurling tool. Of course, the pressure was great enough that the QCTP would rotate. To eliminate this I decided the roller needed to be on center with the toolpost stud.
